Let me get lost in the world to discover a new destination” This thought always used to come in my mind at my lonely time. Being the resident of a coastal area I tempt to escape from the searing heat of summer. Breath-taking grandeur of the mountains always fascinate me. The intense desire to spend time on the above of cloud, in the lap of nature, under the clear twinkling stars is like a dream for me. The whirl zig-zag road, enchanting music of tall trees, eye soothening flora and fauna work like a cherry on the cake in the hill stations.

This year I decided an escape from the city life of Mumbai to Kullu-Manali the snow layered mountains with my friends. The place did not left any stone unturned to amaze me with the exotic places. I came across few places that are worth experiencing in life. Let me give you the description of some amazing places of Kullu-Manali.

Hidimba Temple

The goddess Hidimba who is popularly known as the demon king of Mahabharat is considered as the supreme deity by the locals of Manali. The rituals and the method of worship conducted at the temple are far different from those that happen elsewhere in other Hindu Temples. The worship is rather fierce, wild and often terrifying combined with animal sacrifices.

Hot Water Spring in Vashishth Temple

Guru Vashishth, the sole guru of Ram and Laxman. This wooden architecture Vashishth temple has a hot water spring which has medicinal values.There is a separate area for men and women to enjoy the hot water bath. The charming location of the temple near the bank of Beas River which is surrounded by the old village of Manali makes it a complete pack of an attractive natural spot.

Jogini Waterfalls:

The trek to this white sparkling waterfall passes through the apple orchards, musical sound of water falling and the lush green beauty around. This trek is a worth-visiting place for the beginners of trekking. One can enjoy the meditation in the lap of nature here.

Naggar Castle:

This medieval castle was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu around 1460 A.D. The superb location of the castle has a flavor of authentic western Himalayan architecture. This location has filmed in many Bollywood movies, you can easily connect with the place by recalling the song Ye Ishq Hai from the movie Jab We Met.

 

The Great Himalayan National Park:

The Great Himalayan National Park is a beautiful habitat of alpine flora and fauna. It is an amazing place to relax and unwind at away from the fast life of the city. It is a must visit for all the nature lovers out there.

Hampta Pass Trek:

A challenging trek to Hampta Pass needs planning and preparation. Vertical Rock Walls, waterfalls, hanging glaciers, pine woods, open meadows, tiny lakes are the characteristics of this lake. This trek is not suitable for the beginners. But a delight to the trek lovers.

Solang Valley:

The Solang Valley is 13 km away from the Manali region lies between Solang Village and Beas Kund. This place will surprise you in all the seasons of the year with its weather. In winters the place becomes a heaven covered with the blanket of snow will give you an exotic experience of Skiing, Snow scooter ride and more. In summers the place turns into the paradise of paragliding, zorbing and many other thrilling adventure sports.

Rohtang Pass:

The journey of the place is difficult but the destination is awe-inspiring. The pass is located at a massive height of 3978 metres. One can enjoy the view of glaciers here. Just sit, relax and have a cup of tea at this snow point of Himachal to enjoy the Shivering winter of the place. This place is a treat to your eyes.

Mumbai to Kulli Manali is a must go trip to the mountain lovers. A holiday in mountains is enough to rejuvenate you and re-energize you to grow better each day. My experience to explore this place has become a lifetime memory now.
